Looking for a young and passionate teacher / assistant, well-spoken in Afrikaans and English, who is qualified or studying ECD to nurture age groups of 2 to 6 year olds.
Experience in ECD will be an added advantage. Traveling arrangements to Mabopane can be arranged. The position is full time and salary is negotiable.

PURPOSE Responsible for providing after school educational support programs to learners. Assisting learners with homework, doing research and preparing for examinations. Provide structure and a safe place to help learners grow in their educational development.
MAIN JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO)
Assist the learners with homework and tutoring through the facilitation of the DBE curriculum and the learning objectives in it Assist with establishing a safe and caring environment through the supervision of children and youth at Ignite Education Centre Assist the learners, where necessary, with using computers and printing Participate in planning and facilitating learning activities and programmes Keep documents for registration, applications, and all necessary paperwork Assist with the communication and relationship building with parents. Participate in relevant functions and events, some of which will take place afterhours Upkeep of the Education Centre, and maintaining order

Educate and develop learners through the basic developmental stages Establish a safe and caring environment and classroom routine to learn and grow. Communicate and build relationships with parents and continuously evaluate and write regular evaluation reports on the development of the learners. General supervision of learners inside and outside the classroom. Take part in planning and also attend afterhours events e.g. concerts, parent evenings, Grade R camp and training Prepare various activities during the day such as arts and crafts, music and imagination. Teach them how to interact with others and help them with their daily needs. Instruct them in basic educational programs. Prepare daily lesson plans to help the learners start learning basic education to get them ready for primary school. Prepare outdoor activities and games for the learners to help them improve their coordination and motor skills.

Qualified preschool teacher (Jhb & P
Position available for a qualified preschool teacher (Johannesburg and Pretoria):
She will be responsible for the general education, care, supervision and management of a group of children in a designated age range. She must be able to plan, supervise and implement our program in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the organization.
She must assist the manager in the professional development and well-being of the assistants in her class, as well as implement Health and Safety in accordance with legislation. She must maintain the effective running of her classroom, ensure open communication with parents and keep up to date with changes in the industry.
Skills and Attributes required:
- Minimum of NQF level 6 as professional preparation in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), with appropriate experience
- Must provide a police clearance certificate indicating that their name does not appear in Part B of the National Child Protection Register in compliance with Regulation 44 of Section 126 of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005
- Proficient knowledge of child development and early education theories and practices, including knowledge of child discipline and assessment
- Teaching skills to implement relevant developmentally appropriate instructional strategies for the young child
- Time management skills
- Supervisory skills for co-workers
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills to solve everyday problems and be open to new ideas
- Decision making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the language of the school. This includes effective listening skills and appropriate language usage.
- The ability to reflect on daily activities to improve educational practice
- Stress management skills
- Organizational skills required to follow and apply all duties, policies and procedures as prescribed by the Opti-Baby organization.
